LIAM DEE
Artist
Speaking: Tuesday May 3 Liam Dee is a Perth Surrealist who enjoys blending the styles of traditional painting with the bombastic energy of pop culture. Liam’s vision is to create worlds where the construct of the natural environment is mainly supported by the organic manifestation of the man made, where the line is blurred between what is considered to be natural or synthetic. Taking influence from prominent street artist such as Jeff Soto and Damon Soule, Liam’s art creates a mix of realism with a blend of psychedelic form, texture and colour to create a sense of organic life constructed from the inorganic. IAN & ERICK REGNARD
Photographers
Speaking: Tuesday May 3 Erick and Ian, were born on the island of Mauritius and kind of grew with the acceptance that somehow they were lucky enough to have experienced the freedom to be kids... Their relationship means everything - They understand each other, feed off each other but most of all, challenge each other. This relationship strongly crosses into their photography... "We love the relationship with the sun and the ocean and everything around - call us old fashioned but we put a lot of work into creating the image right, first time, using natural light and using flashes, and using people with great faces... We both love photography and we push the envelop to the point that some think we are crazy and maybe we are! Crazy enough to go the extra mile to create what we think is a great shot. We love good food, we love wine, we love Rhum! We love girls, we love friends, we love family... and we LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY!!!" MATSU
Photographer
Speaking: Wednesday May 4 Daniel came into photography a little late in life. He was a semi professional martial artist and odd jobs guy for 10 years. As the wear and tear of a very physical life style started to take its toll and suffering from the mental struggle to deal with a change of direction Daniel stumbled onto Photography in 2012 as a creative outlet, a way to contribute to the lives and culture around him and something to look forward to each day. With some of his closes friends involved in the local Perth music scene it was here Daniel slowly developed his photographic eye. Daniel spent three years relentlessly documenting the Perth music scene. Over this time Daniel developed a deep love for light, colour and human drama. With this burning love for photography Daniel now applies his passion and eye to various forms of visual communication. Music videos, complex Photoshop composites and short films. Daniel's aim is to create his own voice and learn to bend and craft it to fit different purposes while always maintain a consistent feel. Lastly Daniel (Matsu) Is a Falun Gong Practitioner.
